ECON 101 ...Countries have been hosing America, it's businesses and American products for decades. It's why in part so many businesses have moved out of country. The first reason was the exorbitant high taxes of doing business in our country. Now that that has been fixed ... This is the first, in the process of America giving notice to those countries to level the playing field. Especially China, who has been the main player in the job and company loss in our country. With this, Trump just placed all other countries on notice as well. It's a great first step.
If anyone loses their jobs over this, remember to inquire while filing your unemployment claims about NAFTA and TRA benefits that go along with your claim. It is important that your claims are flagged. If you are in California, also request staff to flag your claim for CTB training benefits.
Just because foreign subsidized products have crippled our manufacturing sector is no reason to fix the mess... FU LA Times, and the commie horse you rode in on... Release The Memo...
The American criminal justice system baffles me. The constitution says a person is innocent until proven guilty but millions of people are doing time in jails before their conviction. I understand that some people are too dangerous and some won't show up in court, but where is the presumption of innocence?
No, they're held because they cannot guarantee their appearance in court. Someone who cannot muster up a "very small amount of money" is unlikely to bother to return to face the possibility of fines and jail.
the ACLU and others need to put together a different system- If they had a plan for how it would work that relied on real-world scenarios., their argument would be much more convincing! A well laid out plan that has detention for violent criminals- does not penalize the poor and respects everyone's civil liberties! Just filing pest lawsuits and bitching about it is the least effective solution! put together a real plan make it open and available for the public and civil servants to give input and review and the public pressure to change cash bail will be unstopable!
One only needs to go on a cruise , for instance , out of Brisbane & the perfect examples are there for all to see . Crew are reluctant to say or do anything as a result of a complaint against them . One complaint puts them back about one year on the " leaderboard " . Also a threat to their next contract . Notations for service is as good as a pay increase .
Disagree. I was told to put my singlet on to get on a public bus (from the caravan park) in the middle of Venice where it was hot AF and beaches nearby - so proves your “feeling FREER” in Italy wrong... I didn’t feel free to make my own decisions then - I can make that decision on the Gold Coast, however.
Well Ben Groundwater makes a few relevant points. There have been tales of yore where drunken Aussies have fallen into a huge beer barnb during the Octoberfest yelling "we're here", the dick heads. As for helmets on bikes, in my youth I was a C grade but, nevertheless, serious competitive cyclist. I trained and raced with Olympians, we all trained and raced 6 or 700 kilometers a WEEK and never wore a helmet, except on the track. Wouldn't do it today, of course. The man is right though, governments treat us like idiots, because too many of us are. Present readership excluded, naturally!
As a Bond aficionado the would be GREAT! It would hardly miss a beat! The "me too" / " what about me frailty is well, how shall I put it, HYSTERICAL !!!
"It could be a woman, it could be a black woman, it could be a white woman." It certainly could be. But then it's not James Bond. Why, suddenly, do all fictional characters need to be all things to all people? If it's that important, write something new.
So if a white actor portrays any character originally written as anything but Caucasian get out the torches and ptchforks, but we can do whatever we want to characters who were traditionally white and male.
