I have a question...why if a guy like Franco is villified does the president of the United States get a pass?
This guy is merely an actor...the other guy is in charge...of the country.
Surely this rage is better spent there

I amin the strange positron of defending Franco. I just read details of 5 complaints. One was from a woman he was in a consensual sexual relationship with! He didn't tape her or force her into anything and she could habe left at any time. He was trying to persuade her into oral sex. COME ON! The other's complaints were equally lame. We are now into ruining the important metoo move m ent.

Franco, you realy should man up and own this by coming clean. It's obvious this makes you feel uncomfortable -- good. But in silence, you remain complicit. Eventually the truth will come out so take your lumps now and absolutely change your behavior against women going forward!

We're holding actors and comedians to higher standards than anybody else, they're guilty by accusation without the ability to defend themselves, and it's costing them their livelihoods. As a women and as liberal as I am, I honestly don't feel good about everything that is going on because I don't feel like the punishment is fitting the crime in every situation. Of course there are men that completely deserve the punishment, but it's getting to be too much. These people aren't only here for our entertainment, they also are people with personal lives and relationships. Why don't I ever see "regular people" calling out their sexual harassers by full name in the comments sections?

I think it is good that these hosts don't baby him about the incident...I also think it shows how James Franco is putting himself out there and not turning away and ignoring any situation that rises.

"You must believe you can. You must find the place inside yourself where anything is possible. It starts with a dream. Add confidence, and it becomes a belief. Add commitment, and it becomes a goal in sight. Add action, and it becomes a part of your life. Add determination and time, and your dream becomes a reality. When you get in a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, Never Give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn."

I think this awkward silence crap is Franco's "shtick" to make it seem likes he's being deep and soul searching. He is clearly a narcissist, and has always struck me as a bit of a creeper.

Its uncomfortable for him and the viewer, but I think he’s being held accountable, continuing his interview schedule and trying to answer and make sense of it rather than total retreat. He’s already lost work and the NYT cancelled an interviews circuit for he and his brother.
He was on Kelly and Michael n 2014 apologizing for Messages that came out about him and a 17 year old fan from another country, He was saying that that social media is a confusing place to think you can trust others or develop a relationship, even a friendship. Sounds like he’s still trying to figure out that the statute of limitations for social media public opinion is longer than the courts version.
