You've only got to look at social media to realise how abusive the left are, I guess that says a lot about the type of person who votes for the left...
It’s nice to see so many Corbyn supporters hanging on every word of a Conservative Facebook page. There might even be a danger they could possibly learn something.
The irony here of course being Toby Young having to resign this week for being a massive far right Tory troll. All about changing the agenda for the Tories isn't it.
Think you will find right wing abuse of ethnic minority and LGTB Labour candidates was actually the worst according to Amnesty Internationalhttps://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/politics/2017/sep/05/...
Corbyn won't do anything. He won't do anything about his own MPs discussing lynching Tories or rejoicing in Thatcher's death and he won't do anything about the rampant anti semitism in the party either. It suits him to have a party of protest where it's followers do nothing other than spread lies and abuse the opposition.
Also, how is JC far or hard left. He represents exactly the party that I joined 40 years ago and in several very successful EU nations would be seen as moderate.
Do you need a safe space, Conservative voters?
I think almost the entire British media is geared towards the political 'right' and seldom casts a fair light on the left, so liberally-inclined people have had to adopt social media as a new battleground for their ideas. I do understand why the Tories are pushing to stop this predominantly leftist online doctrine though, social media useage played a huge part in Labour doing well in GE2017 and that doesnt show any signs of slowing.
As ever, the Tories havent spoken up when scores of other people have received torrents of abuse far worse than anything they've receieved (i.e. Dianne Abbott), but have only spoken when it damages them politically. Personally, Im glad all your posts are ridiculed, just like your sorry excuse for a government deserves to be. I wish you all the very worst, and hope you stub your little toes today.
If you don't like the heat of debate then stay at home instead of bleating. What did you do about the personal insults showered on Jeremy Corbyn by your party people, the right wing of Labour and the Tory-controlled mass media and BBC?
So a culture of online abuse is exclusively Labour’s responsibility to deal with? Diane Abbott received more abuse than any other MP during the election, and yet you think it’s Labour that has a problem with trolls? That’s complacent at best.
I'm not a Tory but there is no excuse for abuse, although I have been subjected to it by one Conservative on these threads. I enjoy good clean debate. It's what democracy is all about.
